Drive and Thrive has made the difficult decision to close operations. Thank you for your support over the years.

Happy driver from Drive and Thrive

After much thought and evaluation, Drive and Thrive / Sauers Cares, has made the difficult decision to dissolve the organization.

Over the past year, we put a significant amount of effort into building something sustainable. We brought on new board members, strengthened our structure, expanded partnerships, and did everything we could to create a path forward.

While we made meaningful progress and had real impact, we ultimately were not able to secure the level of resources needed – time, energy, and funding – to continue the work in a sustainable, long-term way. At its core, this decision comes down to capacity.

Drive and Thrive was built on the belief that access to reliable transportation can change everything for someone. Because of people who showed up and supported this mission, we were able to step into real situations – helping people get to work, get to appointments, and navigate difficult seasons with stability and dignity. Although the organization is dissolving, those moments of impact will never go away.

If you’d like to look back on all that’s been accomplished over the years, I invite you to visit our Facebook page and browse through the photos. There are so many meaningful moments and projects captured there. I hope it serves as a reminder of the impact we made together.

Whether you donated, volunteered, partnered with us, shared a social media post, or simply encouraged us along the way – thank you!

We are committed to closing this chapter the right way. Any funds that have been entrusted to us and not yet utilized will be directed to organizations supporting transportation-related needs, continuing the heart of the mission.

On a personal note – founding and running this organization over the past 7 years has been one of the most challenging and meaningful experiences in my life. From our very first board meeting just days before the COVID shutdown, through every season since, this work has stretched and shaped me in ways that I will carry forward.

While this chapter is coming to a close, my commitment to this community is not. I look forward to continuing to give back in meaningful ways that are more sustainable in this season of life. I’m sure there is a good chance we will cross paths again!

Again, thank you for your support.
