Fueled by Community: The Drive and Thrive Car Show Made a Difference

The engines roared, the sun shone, and the community came together in full force for the annual Drive and Thrive Car Show, held on Saturday, October 4 at 475 Virginia Drive in Fort Washington. With over 100 stunning cars, trucks and jeeps on display, the event celebrated automotive passion while raising critical funds to support Drive and Thrive’s transportation programs.

This year’s event was made possible thanks to the incredible support of sponsors, volunteers, and attendees including Platinum Sponsor, Viscounte Financial, whose generous sponsorship helped drive the success of the day.

Participants and spectators enjoyed a full day of fun featuring music, food, raffle baskets, a 50/50 drawing, free kids’ activities, and a display of exceptional vehicles that showcased the region’s automotive pride. A highlight of the day was the presentation of 85 trophies, honoring vehicles in a wide range of categories including Best in Show – Stock (1989 and Prior), Best in Show – Stock (1990 to Present), and many specialty awards recognizing craftsmanship, creativity, and passion.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Drive And Thrive’s programs:

• Empower Wheels Car Clinic – offering free general maintenance and education to adults in need,
• Critical Vehicle Repairs – providing essential repair assistance to keep individuals safely on the road,
• Fuel and Ride Share Assistance – helping cover the cost of fuel or transportation for those facing financial hardship, and
• Special Transportation Projects – supporting unique initiatives that provide mobility solutions to partner nonprofits and community programs.
